Somebody please help me. I would really like to know just how the Republicans got everybody fooled into believing they are "conservative". All arrows point to the fact that they are anything but that, especially when it comes to spending tax payer's money.
It has only been two years since the Bush Administration left office, leaving the country with a huge budget deficit while the economy was eroding. A large portion of the population, however, is showing signs that they indeed are suffering from a severe case of Attention Deficit Disorder as all the blame has been shifted to our current President, Barack Obama, and the rest of the Democrats that have occupied the House and the Senate.
I have continuously heard the "conservative" elite talk about cutting spending and reversing the downward spiral that they claim the Democrats initiated. So far there is no real word on how they will do that and the truth is that they have been more guilty than anybody when it comes to racking up the bills. When Clinton was in office we actually had a balanced budget and national debt less than $5.7 trillion. Then between the years 2000 and 2008, while Bush and Cheney were in office, our debt increased to $9.2 trillion.
Of course, in an attempt to stave off a complete economic collapse that could leave millions of people without work, Obama has pushed for various "stimulus packages" that have continued this downward trend, but that does not mean we cannot fight our way through it and get our economy back on track. In fact, I believe it will be easier than most people think. It will take some time and a lot of hard work, which is what this country was built upon. It's just too bad we are in an "Age of Entitlement" where everybody, including both "liberals" and "conservatives", believes they should not have to work for anything.
When I started this blog I was not exactly sure where I was going with it. I simply started sifting through statistics and uncovering the truth behind the facade of mainstream politics. As I've stated before, I actually intended to be unbiased towards either of the two main political parties. Obvious differences between the predominantly Deomocratic (D) states and Republican (R) states have become more visible now and as I continue on it is hard to sympathize or support any candidate that would call themselves a "conservative".
For example, below are three lists that come straight from the U.S. Census Bureau that help expose the stories, tales, lies, and exaggerations of those on the right side of America's political scheme. They, being supposed "conservatives", claim to spend less tax dollars and fight for the right of working class families. As you may see, whatever they may call themselves, they are nothing more than hypocrites that want to continue separating themselves from the lower class.

After reading these lists and checking the facts, I cannot imagine how anybody would want to call themselves a conservative. Moreover, I cannot imagine any Democratic state thinking that it needed to be more "conservative".
These statistics are just the tip of the iceberg though, as there is a lot more below the surface. To learn more scroll down to my earlier blog entries, check back here for updates, and, most importantly, go out and search for the truth yourself.

The real threat to the American way of life is not some foreign extremist organization or philosophy, but rather a number of internal issues, including, but not limited to, the division of the American people through xenophobic fear-mongering, gentrification of working class communities, and the spiteful destruction of family farming through legislation.
A house divided cannot stand and our so-called leadership at the top has done a terrific job of pitting us all against each other due to their faith in the fact that our population as a whole is not smart enough, organized enough, or just too damn big and lazy to do anything about it. If you wonder why this is so, you need not look any further than your own family values and those that are instilled by our school systems.
This blog is dedicated to the rebirth of America through local community action and the exposure of the truths and myths about our beloved country. I am proud to be an American but I am not happy with the direction that our elected officials are taking us. It is not change we need - it is a reawakening of the American ideal and the spirit that once drove our communities that will save us.
